# Introduction

Dino Database (DinoDB) is a open-source database written in javascipt. It is lightweight yet robust Database. It is portable and cross platform, Works in node js and in the browser with no extra configuration. Dino is a document-oriented database based on the design of [firestore](https://firebase.google.com/docs/firestore).
